The Kidney Transplant Program at Hartford Hospital was established in 1971. It is one of the oldest and most successful in New England and proud to be celebrating its 40th year. The most current statistics published by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients, a national database of organ transplantation statistics, show the adult patient one-year survival rate for kidney transplants at Hartford Hospital is 100% (from 07/01/2007 – 12/31/2009). The adult graft (transplanted kidney) survival rate is 96.56% for the same period.
The Transplant Program team is committed to providing supportive and respectful patient centered care and knows the most important member of the team is the patient. We are committed to keeping patients informed and helping them become active partners in their healthcare.
