Located on the Silas Deane Highway, the Hartford Hospital Health Center was awarded a special citation from the town of Wethersfield. Visitors to the center are visually rewarded by the tranquil indoor pool found in the building's lobby.
Inside the center patients find easy access to a number of medical resources, including radiology (including an MRI and PET), physical therapy, internal medicine, urgent care services, diagnostic testing and a variety of specialty medicines.
The center includes an Education Room with a wide variety of activities. There's a group for the elderly that develops well-being through stretching, balance and movement. There also are programs offering non-traditional integrative therapies such as massage, acupuncture and Reiki master; programs for expectant moms including preparation for childbirth and yoga for pregnant women; and programs geared towards managing illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
