The Institute of Living is the first medical facility in Connecticut to offer NeuroStar TMS Therapy. This is a recently-approved treatment for patients suffering from depression who have not achieved satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant treatment. TMS stands for "transcranial magnetic stimulation." The treatment is non-invasive and does not require any anesthesia or sedation. The patient remains awake and alert during the treatment. (more)
